I don't often do this, in part because I don't think I'm good at it, but a friend on DA has been having some trouble.
:iconwoohooligan: has been making interesting comics here for some years now, and has recently made the move to working on his comics full time. At the start of the year, he set himself the goal of making $2,000/month by the end of the year. You can read more about it in his goals page: www.woohooligan.com/2016/da#.V… He lays it out there better than I could here.

Right now, he's asking for help expanding his audience and I see no problem with trying to help out there, especially since I like his comics.

Why not have a mosey over to :iconwoohooligan:'s page and his website www.woohooligan.com/ ? You might find some interesting comics (admittedly, a few are NSFW.)

Or at least severely throttled. For the past few weeks I've had trouble getting onto Deviant art. According to Viewdns.info (viewdns.info/chinesefirewall/?…) , I should be able to access this site. Greatfire.org (en.greatfire.org/) and my computers (from several different locations, not just at home) say otherwise. I can get on with my VPN (as I'm doing now) but that's a pain especially since it seems to cut out every 10 mins.

This may sound like an odd request considering where I'm making it but is there anyone else around in China who's had similar problems? Or anyone who might know more than me?

Edit:

I'm rather late in saying this but DA has since been unblocked.

Wow, I've been gone from here a while.
First, I was teaching my summer intensive course at my school; Teaching teenagers English through science. It was a fun course, if a bit too condensed; We had four weeks to do an eight-week course. The students all had a good time and didn't seem to mind the pace too much.

With that all over, my now wife and I had our wedding at the start of this month! We had a traditional Mongolian ceremony in her hometown. Meeting all of my new relatives was exciting as well as overwhelming. I really need to improve my Mongolian.
We also went out to Shangdu (Also known as Xanadu), the ancient capital founded by Kublai Khan (Genghis Khan's grandson). The place is impressive, even in ruins.
Last, we took a short trip to Beijing for some more sightseeing.

China's Golden Week starts next week. We'll go out to some of the monasteries in Qinghai. Looking forward to that.
