Banryu Creation Myths Number 1: The Great Nest

In the beginning, there was just the World Nest. A clutch of many eggs buried in rock.
Then came the time of the great hatching. Many of the eggs hatched and the worlds creatures fell out into the dirt. Their egg shells scattered around them and covered the rocks at the heart of the world.
But soon the creatures became hungry and there was nothing to eat except the shells and each other. Some eggs hadn't hatched. The animals smashed these eggs and tried to eat the whites and creatures within. The creatures within the smashed eggs woke up when their eggs were smashed but they had been slow to grow in their eggs and their arms and legs hadn't fully formed. Some of them fought back however, and many animals backed away and fought each other or the ones that didn't fight back. And they all fought over the yolk, which pooled in the lower areas of the nest. In the midst of the fighting the two biggest animals, the Sun and the Moon, challenged each other. They f
Don't Try This at Home! Or, rather, do. 1Gregor looked out over the Cloud Sea, watching the light from the dawn sun wash over the clouds. He sat down at the edge of the deck, his legs dangling out and skimming the closest cloud tops. The sight was always amazing. And so quiet too. With most of the floating town's population asleep, there was no noise crowd his mind. Well worth getting up early for. Soon, he would have to get ready for school but now he could just enjoy the sunrise.
After an interval that didn't seem long enough, a beep on his phone jolted him out of his moment. OK, He thought. I have to get back before Mum wakes up. Gregor stood up and gave the scene one last look before jogging back the way he had come a short time before.
When he got back, he stopped short at the front door. Something was off. She shouldn't be out up just yet. She's never up this early. Was he late? Gregor checked his phone. Nope, he hadn't been too slow coming back. Better sneak around the back and hope she hasn't checked in on me yet, He
